It's hard to believe, but it's been ten years since Bex Vapes first opened its doors on Richmond Road back in May 2014. What started as one small unit with a simple idea — give the people of Cwmbran somewhere local to get quality vaping products and honest, no-nonsense advice — has grown into a shop that's become a genuine part of the Pontnewydd community.
From one shop to a Cwmbran institution
Founder Mark Bexley opened the doors in an industry that, even a decade ago, was often dominated by online-only retailers. He wanted something different: a real shop where people could walk in, ask questions without judgement, and walk out with exactly what suited them — not just whatever was cheapest to ship.
As the shop grew, Ray came on board as a partner, and together they built Bex Vapes into somewhere people kept coming back to — not just for the products, but for the conversation at the counter and the advice that came with it.
Still proudly local
In an industry that's changed enormously over the last decade — new devices, new regulations, and now a wave of chain competition — the thing that hasn't changed is what Bex Vapes stands for: a family-run, independent shop on Richmond Road, part of this community rather than just trading in it. That's not changing for the next ten years either.
