Heads up — coming 1 October 2026
What the new vape tax means for prices
The UK's new Vaping Products Duty adds a flat charge to every millilitre of e-liquid — nicotine or not — with VAT on top. Here are the headline numbers:
£0.22Duty per ml
£2.20Per 10ml bottle
+20%VAT on top
+£2.64Tax on a 10ml
Good news for pod users — a standard 2ml prefilled pod only picks up about £0.53, and vape devices themselves aren't taxed at all.
